A little history on Kurd Maverick...

Upon the release of his first production, his "Pump Up The Jam" re-make on Ministry of Sound, Kurd Maverick experienced worldwide success and immediately established himself as a recognized producer.

Followed by "The Rub", "Let´s Work", "Strings Of Tortuga", "Warum Nisht" or "Love Sensation" went onto achieve similar success and consequently cemented his reputation amongst the world’s elite producers. "Love Sensation" achieved widespread commercial success.

Kurd was set for further international success with his remake of New Order’s seminal "Blue Monday" which released on Data and arrived at BUZZ No.1 and several Dance and Media Control Charts all over the world. And not to forget his club hymne "Ring Ring Ring" (originally from De La Soul).

Through his talent and creative vision, Kurd’s appeal quickly increased and, in addition to his production work, he established himself as a leading remixer and international DJ. He has so far remixed the likes of Robbie Williams, Bob Sinclar, Basement Jaxx, German´s superstar´s the legendary Herbert Groenemeyer or Rosenstolz, Erick Morillo, Boy George, Pet Shop Boys, Sidney Samson´s bomb to name a few.

In the beginning of 2010, Kurd founded his own record label named ‘Otune! Records’ and released great productions as like his first one, a catchy summer choon named "Shine A Light" followed in the years by releases with Markus Binapfl aka BigWorld the re-make of Livin´Joy´s 90s Dance Hit "Dreamer" or feat. Terri B "NYC" and a few more...

Busy with touring till summer 2011 in USA, Germany, Spain, Indonesia, Brasil, UAE, Croatia, Serbia, France & Morocco he stepped back after the summer saison with too many shows to go in the studio and create some new music. And the results coming now in March & April for which we´re very exciting for...

BIOGRAPHY

From a very early age Gian loved music, playing several music instruments and having a good ear for music - that's why he found his way to a well-known Turkish/Kurdish group at the age of 15.

He soon proved himself to be not only an excellent musician but also a good entertainer. His first contact with the "Djing" was in 1997 when a friend introduced him to the wheels of steel. He was really fascinated with the almost infinite sound structures which he could obtain by two turntables and mixers and soon decided to get deeper into this high art of presenting.

From this time Gian dabbled in all genres of electronic dance music and in the end he found his true love to be house music. In the following years he worked incessantly on his sets. It was not enough for him to work with record players and mixers, so he created with the help of different effect devices and continuous loop his own creations of the biggest clubland tracks.

His work paid off! He tested his new sounds out at the Noh club in Duesseldorf. After this successful acid test further bookings followed in the most popular clubs of our republic and finally he got an offer as a resident in the Bungalow Club. Together with DJ mega stars such as Todd Terry, Erick Morillo, AVH, Sandy Rivera, Bob Sinclar, George Morel, Timo Maas, Mousse T, Tom Novy, Harry Romero and many more, he rocked the clubs of "Disco-Germany".
